An island with a long history that appears in the Gishiwajinden (Records of the Wei Dynasty), it is the closest important base to the border and a gateway to continental culture.
The population is about 28,000. The area is about 709 km2. The coastline is about 915 km long.

"The island with the most driftwood from the open sea"
As plastic products become more widespread, the amount of plastic washed up on beaches has gradually increased, eventually reaching approximately 30,000 to 40,000 cubic meters per year.

Public awareness activities

I want as many people as possible to know about the threat of marine debris and the current situation on Tsushima.
A beautiful future will surely come if we come together as one, regardless of age or nationality, regardless of status.
